The Full Story
I'm a licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor of 20 years and an award-winning author.
In 2023, Lysa TerKeurst and the amazing team at Harper Collins Publishing published her debut book, A Mom is born: Biblical wisdom and Practical Advice for Taking Care of Yourself and Your New Baby.
In 2012, I fought the good fight to overcome postpartum depression in my own life when she became a new mom. And I got better. So, I spent the last decade writing the book I wished had been there for her.

Mission
l own a thriving Christian counseling practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve been working in the counseling field for 20 years.

I felt the calling to be a counselor when I was a young girl. A native of North Carolina, I was raised in Raleigh by a fiercely strong single mother. She taught me about faith, trust, and most of all hope. Her resiliency was amazing, especially when she had walked such a tough road.
My faith grew and I accepted God's call to begin my training to be a therapist. I had such a heart for people, and I knew that I wanted to serve others with the gifts God had given me.
I literally have my dream job. I approach each session with a sense of honor and appreciation. I pray each day that I speak the Lord's will into my clients' lives, and never my own. I want the best, healthiest life for each and every person that is put in my path. In addition to being a counselor, I am a wife and mom of two little boys.
Life is hard. Marriage is challenging. Navigating singlehood is complicated. Parenting is never easy. Let me help you through this process. Your family is worth it. You're worth it.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Vision
There’s nothing Rachael loves more than encouraging women to be emotionally healthy and to walk by faith, even when she cannot see.
